(Graduation speech I wrote for my daughter-}
{2003-05-07} {4:34 p.m.}

"Don’t seek the truth; just drop your opinions."--

Unsophisticated in nature but still young enough to realize that my future isn’t completely bleak; I have grown up a lot in the last few years. Probably more in the last year. I can’t tell you that life isn’t hard, because it is. We as the young individuals that we are yearn to feel accepted more than not.
We are bombarded daily through our senses, feelings, thoughts and higher guidance.
We strive to become a master of catching, understanding and acting from a higher guidance. Expanding our awareness of how a higher guidance differs from lower levels of information. Strangely enough, as we become more aware and conscious, our vision gets cloudier before it gets clearer. We separate deeper causes and invisible influences that affect our life. We become more aware of just how much separates us from the universal and divine. We begin to understand just how complex and murky life can be. The more convoluted our thinking, the more we’re trapped in our minds. The more we’re trapped in our heads, the less present we are to reality. LIFE IS REALLY TOO MUCH FOR THE EGO. When it realizes this, it has no choice but to give up being the general manager of the universe. We can begin to look through the facts and the form to the essence. This expansion of awareness forces us out of our rational minds and into our sensitive hearts. When we make a heart connection, we discover a part of us that is all-knowing. A part of us we can learn to trust. A part we would be wise to connect with often for understanding and guidance. So if at times you fear drowning in your soul, take heart. The saving grace is that as we continue to grow in consciousness, we increasingly see the TRUTH, the bigger picture, the simplicity, the root causes. As we raise our consciousness, we see more and more evidence of a higher power, of universal laws at work, of Spirit or Soul or God or however you describe the creative power. We do begin to see clearly. And we gain the security to let go.

As we try to focus on our truth and beliefs we can at often times be brought down in a downward spiral of decreasing faith in ourselves, with out the reassurance of the never knowing ability to see what lies ahead in our future. But with the help of your friends and your surroundings we can accomplish more than we realize.
What is the meaning of all of this that I am telling you?
It’s a simple as a phrase from Mark Rutherford “A true knowledge of ourselves is knowledge of our power”.

There is more meaning in just a few words of expression than you could ever try to find in life itself. As you move on in your day to day activities, completing and meeting the goals you have set forth for yourself, you become stronger with a higher self–esteem of learning and bettering yourself. You grow to be able to achieve the greatest of any hard task as you move on as your life’s emerges on the increase of learning a higher skill. You become to be able to adapt to the more difficult surroundings around you, more than the things that are fighting within you.
And as you move on in your life you will be allowed to focus on the positive instead of the negative. So no matter how long I have been here, the memories here will never fade; I just have one wish before I depart on my own. That the 8th grade graduating class of 2003 will go out and make something of themselves. I wish you all the best of luck that life has to offer, and I know that we can make a mark in our own history, whether it be recognized, or not. We can all be something, and somebody.
I will miss you all.

Aren't I just the best Mommy ever? [Not] Heh. I hope she likes it. She asked me for my help and my intuition; so there. She got it.

-Love you Sammi-
